Daughters of Zion

Daughters of Zion (DOZ) is a non-profit serving women who are single parents of diverse ethnicities. DOZ’s mission is to improve the quality of life for single parents by working with individuals, corporations and entities that will build a supportive community in response to issues that face the women who are single parents in the greater San Fernando Valley.

Our Focus is:

  • To equip women who lack family support and skills so they can become responsible members of the community
  • To advocate for policies and programs addressing the catch-22 issues that face single parents
  • To mobilize communities around issues of homelessness, youth pregnancy, healthcare and nutrition
  • To provide services promoting self sufficiency

DOZ has provided personal counseling through their outreach to:

  • Genesis House
  • Penny Lane
  • In-home support
  • One on one

DOZ coordinates emergency services for single parent families needing food, clothing and shelter.

About the Founder

Pastor Linda Wiggins is known for uncompromisingly preaching and teaching the Word of God. She is a counselor, nurturer and in counseling holds the Living Word as the standard.

Pastor Linda focuses on nurturing persons to realize their full worth, and assists them in developing their full potential. Her motto is she’s “Blessed to be a Blessing.”

Pastor Linda is an ordained minister of the Calvary Baptist Church of Pacoima, California where she is an associate minister, and assists the Pastor in many facets of pastoral ministry (worship leader, armor bearer, etc).

Pastor Linda obtained her Bachelor’s in Theology and her Masters of Divinity from Kings University in Van Nuys, California.

Linda has one son who she fondly calls her “gentle giant” and gives all praises to the Lord who helped her as a single parent to raise a fine young man.
